Founder, Harold R. Fenwick & Associates
Mr. Harold Fenwick founded Harold R. Fenwick & Associates in 1972 after several years of experience in a large private Quantity Surveying Practice in Scotland and in Government service in Kenya
Mr. Fenwick is a founding member of the Architectural Association of Kenya (AAK) and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (C.I.Arb) – Kenya Branch and an Honorary Fellow of the Institute of Clerks of Works of Kenya.
He was a prominent member of the Quantity Surveying and Arbitration fraternities in Kenya and Eastern Africa for many years and was involved in many Government and Private Sector construction projects as Quantity Surveyor and Project Manager.
In addition, he was a prominent Arbitrator in the Kenyan construction industry and undertook numerous Arbitration cases as Arbitrator.
He was also a member of the Governing Council of the Kenya Scouts Association (KSA) for many years and was very active in the Scouts Movement in Kenya and East Africa in general.
Mr. Fenwick is currently retired and lives in Cyprus but keeps in close touch with the Practice and takes keen interest in Kenyan and East African affairs.

Mr. Bashir H. Hajee joined Harold R. Fenwick & Associates in 1975, became an Associate in 1978 and a Partner in 1980. Following Mr. Fenwick’s retirement in 1988, took over the Practice as Principal.
Mr. Hajee is a Corporate Member of Architectural Association of Kenya (AAK), a Registered Quantity Surveyor with the Kenya Board of Registration of Architect’s and Quantity Surveyors (BORAQS), an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (C.I.ARB) and a Fellow Member of Institute of Quantity Surveyors of Kenya (IQSK).
Mr. Hajee has been involved in many Government and Private Sector construction projects as Quantity Surveyor and Project Manager.
In 1999 the Practice was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Architectural Association of Kenya for “Commendable Professional Services rendered for over 20 years”. In 2014, Mr. Hajee was nominated for a Lifetime Achievement award and awarded Certificate of Excellence by the Institute of Quantity Surveyors of Kenya in recognition of his contribution to the growth and development of Quantity Surveying in Kenya.
In 2019, the Practice was awarded a Certificate of Excellence as Runners Up and a Certificate of Excellence for the CoRE Sustainability Award for the United Nations Office Development in Nairobi during the CoRE (Construction & Real Estate) inaugural Awards function.
In 2020, the Practice was awarded a Trophy and a Certificate of Excellence as the Winner of the CoRE Excellence Award in Quantity Surveyors category.
